Mit dem Kunstprojekt „A Minore Amore“ lädt der finnische und queere Künstler Jaakko Myyri queere* Menschen ein, an der Archivierung von persönlichen Anekdoten rund um das Thema Liebe mitzuwirken und mitzuarbeiten. Er ist Teilnehmer des Linzer Festivals „LINZ FMR – Kunst in digitalen Kontexten und öffentlichen Räumen“, das vom 1. bis 6. Juni 2021 an öffentlichen Orten rund um den Mühlkreisbahn in Linz/Urfahr stattfindet (linzfmr.at).
In einem Onlineworkshop will sich der Künstler vorstellen und gemeinsam über Erfahrungen zum Thema Liebe und Intimität reden. Der Workshop soll eine Art Tutorial sein, wie die eigenen Erfahrungen als kurzer Text in die von ihm programmierte App eingegeben werden. An dem Workshop kann auch anonym teilgenommen werden (ohne Webcam). In einem nächsten Schritt werden aus den Textbeiträgen, die in der App hochgeladen wurden, wesentliche Worte ausgewählt und in einer künstlerischen Form online visualisiert. Das Projekt wird auch nach dem Festival online erhalten bleiben.
Der Online Workshop findet in Englisch statt (Onlineworkshop: https://bbb.servus.at/b/jaa-62c-ipb-sru), es wird aber auch die Möglichkeit geben mit Übersetzungen zu arbeiten. Gerhard Niederleuthner von der HOSI Linz wird den Workshop mit moderieren.

Tell your story
With the art project “A Minore Amore,” finnish and queer artist Jaakko Myyri invites queer* people to participate and collaborate in archiving personal anecdotes around the theme of love. He is a participant of the Linz festival “LINZ FMR – Art in Digital Contexts and Public Spaces,” which will take place from June 1st to 6th, 2021, in public places around the Mühlkreisbahn in Linz/Urfahr (linzfmr.at).
In an online workshop, the artist wants to introduce himself and talk together about experiences on the subject of love and intimacy. The workshop is intended to be a kind of tutorial on how to enter one’s own experiences as a short text into the app he has programmed. The workshop can also be attended anonymously (without a webcam). In a next step, essential words will be selected from the text contributions uploaded to the app and visualized online in an artistic form. The project will remain online after the festival.
The online workshop will take place in English (Onlineworkshop: https://bbb.servus.at/b/jaa-62c-ipb-sru), but there will also be the possibility to work with translations. Gerhard Niederleuthner from HOSI Linz will co-facilitate the workshop.

„With art-project “A Minore Amore” Jaakko Myyri invites queer*persons to contribute and collaborate on archiving a series of anecdotes around love-seeking. He prepared a special app, and the workshop would be a more light introduction and more focused on getting-to-know session.
The project wishes to speak of the queer-condition and ways we find love as minority: Why our intimacy isn’t questioned but often projected upon us with tropes, types and categories by the surrounding? It affects us in many ways and can make us distant, even towards ones we trust. I think it is important that we can publicly look into the message we send out, the little stories we have told our partners and besties, to feel rejuvenated in ways we search for better experiences and communication practises. Beyond that I hope to welcome other notions of intimacy, what embodiment means, to describe captive moments where you felt the most authentic. What creates the sense of queerness taking place under your own skin?
The outcome of the workshop will become part of the digital artwork, where collectivity, text outcomes, and animation can be accessed on a mobile-screen in playful hay-environment.
As artist Myyri is someone who loves to play around in the hay.
During the online meeting, all the participants are invited to [openly] discuss and initiate terms and conditions for writing about sensitive subjects, if they wish, recieve help with the creative practice of writing and sharing these ideas: focusing on that these cultures live through us, in ways we behave, and even in ways this affects life in our bedrooms. By help of the sweetest Gerhard I hope to be able to get in touch with all the members who wish to join and would individually like to contribute.
